Description
A community group set up to assist and advise North Shore City Council in the management and development or two adjoining Reserves 1km North of Albany village (and Massey University). Buses from Auckland City. Three Streams has been developed as an Arboretum by John Hogan since1969, and aims to become an Environmental Education Centre. Being transferred from the QE11 National Trust to North Shore City in 2005 it now includes a fine stand of mature Kauri. Friends of Three Streams and Kauri Grove. They aim to heighten public awareness of the existence and role of these reserves as well as joining with other community groups and organisations in the environmental betterment of the Albany area.
