Description
Volunteer camp hosts are required for Camp Bay campground, Endeavour Inlet, Marlborough Sounds.
Volunteer for 2-3 weeks between 3 January and 12 March. Volunteers must have a love for the outdoors and camping, be able to converse easily in English with other campers, and a willingness to keep the campground sparkling. A police check certificate is required - ask how if you don't have one.
Responsibilities include information sharing, fee collection, pass compliance and recording, minor campsite maintenance and cleaning the facilities. Tasks usually take 2-3 hours, and the rest of the day is yours to enjoy.
Volunteers will be transported to the camp by boat, so could be combined with walking the Queen Charlotte Track.
A tent and beds are provided but all other camping gear including camp cooker must be provided by the host.
Hosts will receive a $50/week reimbursement for groceries.
