Looking for volunteer position for 5 months/ international stude

Posted: 11 Apr 2018

Dear NZTCV-Team, partners, volunteers and others involved, As a second-year environmental monitoring student of University of Applied Sciences Dresden/Germany, I am writing to express my interest in working and volunteering for NZTCV.I was excited to read through this website, all the conservation projects, volunteering opportunities and the whole NZTCV profile itself. I would like to apply for a five month internship, which is part of my study programme and intended to take place from September/October 2018 until February/March 2019. (with flexibility at the beginning and the end) For our 5th semester we are getting the opportunity to contribute our theoretical and practical knowledge of our studies into a company, organisation or programme. This "practical semester" is suppose to last a minimum of 20 weeks, working 40 hours a week. I would love to use my passion, knowledge and skills to research, investigate, organise and act in the name of nature. My interest in nature and species conservation, preserving/restoring of biodiversity, sustainable agriculture/water resources management and endangered species/plant protection, to mention just a few, were leading me to my study programme of Enviromental monitoring. During the summer semester 2016 I was involed in a three month bird-monitoring project as well as monitoring and statistics of native plants and biotopes in the Dresden/Germany area. I would be very proud to get the opportunity to join NZTCV as a volunteer/intern. (involed in bird-monitoring or forest conservation, field work/research or any similar) I have not set my mind for a particular area in New Zealand. It is depending on vacancies, project taks/focus and requirements. Can anyone help out with ideas, free positions or people to contact? I look forward hearing from you. Best wishes, Frenzy
