Volunteer work for environment/landscape plannning student

Hi everybody! I'm a 23-year-old student of landscape planning from Munich, Germany. In the course of my studies I would like to gain practical experience in New Zealand for three or more months starting April 2011. I am looking for a work in the field of landscape / biodiversity / environmental management, restoration of natural habitats, maintaining ecosystems and so on. I am very interested in the hole working and planning process. Can anybodey give me some advice, where I can send my applications? Knew anybody an adapted contact?
