Conservation Week, 9 - 16 September
5-09-2012 - Conservation week
Kia Ora,
Show New Zealand that you love it by celebrating Conservation Week 2012 from 9-16 September. This year's Conservation Week theme is 'Love your parks'. There is a huge range of things to do and see in our conservation lands and marine reserves.
To kick off Conservation Week, we will be holding a Weed Swap on Sunday 9th Sept. from 1-4pm at Waitangi Park, Wellington.
What is a Weed Swap? Basically, you bring in the worst weed from your garden or park and we will exchange it for a FREE native plant! Every person who brings in a weed, roots and all, will receive a plant. There are plenty of spot prizes for whoever brings in the worst or most weeds. This is an event for all ages, so bring the entire family!
